We had no issues with other software though, like Adobe and Java. We could of course run installation without joining domain, but it’s not the way it was done here. I had the same problem with Windows 8. Once finished installation, I re-enabled CryptoBlocker. Now I know to install Office before joining the domain; but if I forget it’s no big deal to un-link the GPO for 5 minutes. I’m not that worried about getting infected in a 5 minute time frame. I was scratching my head for about an hour trying to figure out why office wouldn’t install.

We just setup those Cryptolocker GPOs last week so it didn’t even cross my mind as the culprit. Apa Computer Service is an IT service provider. I had the same problem with a win8 Pro laptop.
